How Negative Pressure Air Scrubbers WorkHow do air scrubbers remove particles, gasses and chemicals from the air? The contaminated air is first suctioned into the machine and then passed through a series of filters. The negative air flow (suction) prevents airborne contaminants from escaping. When you use an air scrubber, you will be able to contain mold, dust, particles and odors within your workspace. This type of air filter can remove at least 99.97% of dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, and any airborne particles with a size of 0.3 microns (µm).

What does HEPA mean?HEPA stands for High-Efficiency Particulate Air. A HEPA filter is a type of mechanical air filter that is designed to remove particles from the air. These filters are commonly used in air purifiers, vacuum cleaners, and various industrial applications to improve air quality by trapping tiny particles. To meet the HEPA standard, a filter must be able to remove at least 99.97% of particles that are 0.3 micrometers in diameter. While HEPA filters are very effective at capturing particles of this size, they are also efficient at capturing both larger and smaller particles. The efficiency of HEPA filters makes them valuable for situations where it's crucial to remove airborne contaminants, such as allergens, dust, mold spores, bacteria, and viruses.

Why Rent a Negative Air Machine?Renting an air scrubber machine can be beneficial in various situations where there is a need to improve air quality by removing contaminants and particles from the air. Here are some common reasons why people might choose to rent an air scrubber: Restoration and Remediation: After water damage, mold growth, fire damage, or other disasters, air quality can be compromised. Air scrubbers are effective in removing mold spores, smoke particles, and other pollutants, helping to restore a healthy indoor environment. Construction and Renovation: During construction or renovation projects, mold, dust, debris, and other particles can be released into the air. Air scrubbers help control and reduce these airborne contaminants, creating a safer and healthier work environment. Mold, Allergen and Odor Removal: Air scrubbers are effective in removing airborne allergens, such as pollen, mold, pet dander, and dust mites. They can also help eliminate unpleasant odors associated with mold growth. Temporary Need: If there is a temporary need for improved air quality, such as during an event, a short-term project, or a specific cleaning task, renting an air scrubber may be more cost-effective than purchasing one.

Dri-Eaz Defend Air Filtration
1st Stage Pre Filter
A pre filter is the primary layer of filtration that collects large particles before they reach the HEPA filter. It is constructed to improve filter efficiency and dirt holding capacity. Rated at 10% efficiency, it also has a low pressure drop.
2nd Stage HEPA Filters
A HEPA filter is a type of high efficiency particulate air filter. This type of air filter can remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 Micrometers in diameter. Particles of this size are the most difficult to filter and thus the most penetrating particles size. This is the most effective air filtration filters to remove contaminates from the air.
3rd Stage Carbon filter
Carbon is a highly porous charcoal product, This significantly captures a wide variety of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including soot and smoke, food odors, fumes from paint and paint thinners, sewer odors, and many other compounds.
Dehumidifers
A dehumidifier is essential for both immediate damage control and preventing long-term issues caused by moisture.

And more!
During remediation, particularly for mold, water damage, or other environmental hazards, a dehumidifier is a critical tool. Here's a list of its specific uses during remediation:
-
Moisture Control: Reduces humidity levels to prevent the spread of mold, bacteria, and other microorganisms during remediation efforts.
-
Drying Surfaces: Assists in drying out affected areas such as walls, floors, and ceilings after water damage or leaks, speeding up the drying process.
-
Prevent Mold Growth: By lowering moisture levels, it prevents new mold growth in spaces undergoing remediation, ensuring the area remains dry.
-
Water Extraction Support: Works alongside fans and air movers to pull excess moisture from the air and surrounding surfaces, helping to eliminate trapped water in porous materials like drywall or wood.
-
Mitigating Secondary Damage: Prevents further damage to building materials, such as warping, swelling, or rotting, by controlling the humidity during the drying and repair process.
-
Airborne Contaminant Reduction: Reduces the risk of spreading mold spores, allergens, and other contaminants that thrive in humid environments, maintaining a safer workspace for remediation professionals.
-
Supporting Drying in Hard-to-Reach Areas: Helps to dry out moisture in areas like crawl spaces, behind walls, or beneath floors where moisture can be hard to eliminate.
-
Preserving Structural Integrity: Helps maintain the structural integrity of materials such as wood framing, preventing it from weakening due to prolonged exposure to high humidity.
-
Facilitating Safe Demolition: In cases where contaminated materials need to be removed (such as drywall or insulation), a dehumidifier ensures that the remaining materials stay dry and mold-free.
-
Promoting Health and Safety: Reducing moisture minimizes the risk of remediation workers and residents being exposed to mold spores and bacteria during the process.
